iPRES Emulation Workshop Programme updated

The iPRES conference and with it the workshop “Towards Practical Emulation Tools and Strategies – State of the Art Research Meets Real-World Requirements” in Toronto is finally approaching. The workshop will take place on the first day of the conference on Monday, October 1st. We updated the workshop program and added the different suggested topics from the “call of participation”.

After a brief introduction to the workshop, Titia van der Werf will give a short keynote on “Beyond the controversy: a quick overview of emulation as an approach to digital preservation”. During the morning session we will then discuss use-cases and technical challenges to prepare the specialized group discussions. After the introductory part we will have two break out sessions before and after lunch to give participants the chance to change groups if they are interested in two different tracks. Please refer to the workshop website which will be updated regularly. The workshop organizers are looking forward to welcome you in Toronto and have a livid discussion on the future developments in the field of emulation and related digital preservation and access topics.

We have got quite a bit of interest in the workshop and thus extended the number of participants to be able to host all who are interested. Please respond to the participation asking email we will send out this week to help us with the planning. The preparational paper is available from the workshop website.
