Name change
We are changing our name to the Open Preservation Foundation. The new name makes our mission and purpose clear, while still linking to our history by retaining ‘OPF’. The name change will come in to full effect by mid-November.
Strategy
Our 2015-2018 strategy will also be released in November. It is currently under review by our members and we will publish it on the new website.
Website
Following consultation with our members and the community, the design phase of our website redesign is almost complete. The new website will be clearly structured and easier to navigate with a brand new look and feel. We are currently migrating content and writing new content, and will begin testing shortly. The new website will be launched in November.
Community Survey
The community survey aims to establish trends in digital preservation activities and approaches as well as capture which tools are in use to build a picture of the current digital preservation landscape.
We are currently running a similar member survey to identify this information in detail and establish shared member priorities to steer our annual operational plan.
The community survey will open in mid-November.
